Jacques Cathelineau , born January 5, 1759 at Pin-en-Mauges ( Maine-et-Loire ) and died July 14, 1793 in Saint-Florent-le-Vieil ( Maine-et-Loire ), was, during the war of Vendée , during the French Revolution , the first generalissimo of the Catholic and royal army . He is nicknamed " the saint of Anjou ".
