Rembrandt
Rembrandt was a Dutch master who specialized in three types of art from being a Draughtsman, a painter and a printmaker. Rembrandt is considered as one of greatest visual artists in the history of art and the most important in the history of Dutch Art. Rather than specialize in one type of style, Rembrandt's works depicted many styles and subject matters from portraits to self-portraits to landscapes, historical scenes as well as biblical and mythological scenes. His contributions to dutch art came in a period of great wealth and cultural achievement that is referred to as the Dutch Golden Age both in terms of art but as well in terms of the Dutch economy which was led by Wealthy merchants.
